OBASHI Think

See things clearly

Hi All

When learning to concepts I sometimes find "Cookbooks" or "Patterns" extremely useful. For example common patterns for solving typical challenges in an Android application.

To help customers understand OBASHI, I think a cookbook where the most common IT services are mapped (desktop services, email services, etc) could be useful. My thinking is to group this by delivery methods (on-premise, data-centre, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc).

Has anyone done anything similar. I am also looking for feedback to understand what you map most in your environment (high level not detailed) so can focus on the right areas

Rough structure below

On-Premise

Authentication - (Directory Services)

Network Access - (WiFi, VPN, Remote File Access)

LOB Applications (CRM, ERP)

SOE Applications (Email, Intranet)

Telephony Systems

Datacentre

LOB Applications (CRM, ERP)

Mobility Platforms

Simple Application - no remote data services

Medium Application - one or more data services

Advanced Application - one or more data services with 1 or more phone features (GPS, etc)
